Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American author of cookbooks who has received Emmy Awards. She hosts the oldest Food Network show, Barefoot Contessa. It premiered in 2002. It will air for another 27 seasons. Ina began her career in writing nuclear energy policy documents and budgets of the White House. In the beginning, she was awed by the intellectual stimulation that came with her job, but soon was bored. She instead bought Barefoot Contessa, a specialty food shop. After 18 years of making her business a massive success, she decided to sell it and started creating her first novel. Others followed, and so were magazine articles. In addition, her Food Network TV show also began its first season, and was a huge success. She also sells everything from cooking equipment to supplies and containers. Ina is an untrained cook that hasn't attended a cooking school, nor employed in a kitchen. Her relaxed approach to entertaining as well as her simple cook style are very well-known. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
