Ina-Garten

Ina Garden is an American book author, and has won Emmy Awards. She hosts the most popular Food Network program, Barefoot Contessa. It premiered in 2002. The show will run for another 27 seasons. Ina started her career as a writer in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget, as well as other policy papers. Even though she found the job fascinating initially, in the end she lost her interest in it and purchased a small speciality food shop - Barefoot Contessa. After nearly 18 years of making the store an enormous success, she sold it and began writing her first book. There were many different cookbooks and magazines were later published. Later, her Food Network television show too started and soon became an instant hit. In addition, she sells everything from kitchen equipment to ingredients and containers. Ina is a cook who has learned by herself who has never attended the cooking school nor employed in a kitchen. Her name is ascribed to the simplicity of her making food and her unpretentious approach to entertainment. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
